One of the longest and broadest rivers in the known world, the Einan flows from the boundaries of the steppe in the south to the Sea of Chamar in the north, draining a huge watershed. Its valley is home to the populous Ming, and at points, their erstwhile foes and overlords, the Avaimi. Its banks have been heavily farmed, most anciently by rice paddies innumerable; that crop was domesticated here in the times before civilization began.

Anciently named the Weinan by the Ming, it received a new name after conquest by the Evyni Empire. It later formed one of the core regions of the Karapeshai Exatai
