The Halyral Calendar is a sixteen month solar calendar adopted throughout the Halyrate in the first half of the 10th century SR. It counts forward from Altaro Javan's assumption of the title Halyr. The calendar, on a cycle of sixteen months, contains thirteen months of twenty-three days and three months of twenty-two days, with a hang year every fifth year that switches to twelve-four to make up time. The calendar begins roughly around the spring equinox.
