Her Tear and its surrounding oasis indicated in red
A stunningly beautiful lake in the midst of the Face of the Moon, an otherwise barren desert of shifting sands, gravel, and stone. Her Tear is a miraculously freshwater lake -- well, at least, freshwater near the south shore, where a series of springs rise from the desert hills and flow into the lake; nearer the north shore, it is somewhat saltier. The eastern shoreline is dominated by the silhouette of the rock at Gurach, while the northeast is home to the trade city of Vana.
Much wildlife used to be found all around the lake, though it lives mostly in song now, as the lake is heavily cultivated by the Savirai who rely heavily on its waters.
The lake is named for a myth that states it was the produce of a single tear of a goddess -- in ancient times, a goddess of the traditional Savirai faith, though in more recent times it is said to be that of the Aitah.
