A peninsula just south of the Lovi Sea, Hailsia (originally Helsia) is the ancestral homeland of the Trilui, a seafaring people who founded one of the greatest empires in history, and the homeland of the Farou, also one of the most important civilizations in world history. It is a rather diverse region geographically. In the north a narrow, relatively arid plain borders the Lovi Sea; in the center, the Hailsian Uplands get progressively lusher as one continues to the south; the far south is occupied by a broad, agriculturally rich plain.
