A female King of Parthe, Comden Dascawen is known for the Third Founding. Born to a minor noble family, she spent her youth as concubine to the warrior prince, and short-lived King, Harca Thewen. During the Decade of Eleveen Kings, happenstance and rivalries between branches of the royal family created great chaos within Parthe, and led to the revival of the nearly-dead concept of the Succession Tournament. Killing her brother during one such struggle after the death of King Jorgeh "the Aitahist", Comden Dascawen was proclaimed King. She married Dasca Ruturwen, of minor royalty, and maintained her royal title even after her gender was discovered. Founding the current ruling Dascawen house, Comden was also known as the Third Founder of the New Kingdom of Partheca, with the first and second being Gandoros and [] respectively. Her reforms including codifying the myraid inheritance laws throughout the rapidly developing country, establishing a bureaocracy based on the structure of the Archives, and annexing the remaining Zarcasen into her kingdom. Later in life she became fixated on her death, and trained her bastard crown prince Joffer in the arts of statescraft. This ended in tragety, as Dasca trained a different, pureblooded son for fear of Comden's insanity. These two claimants accepted each other's challenge in a Succession Tournament rather than fight a civil war, and managed to kill each other off. "Traiter-Queen" Dasca was exiled to Tarat, and Comden's son Wertus, with the sponsorship of Garun Ruturwen, became king. As time went on, Dasca's misgivings turned out to be true, as the line of Dascawen became increasily marred by insanity and mental diseases.
